Lashes Aftercare

Lash Lift & Tint Aftercare
Your lash lift and/or tint is a semi-permanent treatment designed to enhance your natural lashes. Correct aftercare is essential for maintaining results.
First 24 Hours
-
Keep your lashes completely dry – avoid water, steam, tears, and sweat.
-
Do not apply makeup (including mascara or eyeliner).
-
Do not touch, rub, or press on your lashes.
-
Avoid saunas, steam rooms, swimming, or hot showers.
Ongoing Care
-
Avoid waterproof mascara and heavy eye products, as they are difficult to remove and can weaken your lift/tint.
-
Only use gentle, oil-free and soap-free cleansers around the eye area.
-
Pat your eyes dry instead of rubbing.
-
Brush through your lashes daily with a clean spoolie to keep them neat.
-
Apply a lash nourishing serum or conditioner daily to maintain lash strength and prolong results.
-
Avoid heat exposure (steam facials, tanning beds, or cooking over high heat) as it can reduce the curl.
With the right care, your lash lift and tint should last 6–8 weeks.

Lash Extensions Aftercare
Lash extensions require consistent care to ensure maximum retention and natural lash health.
First 24 Hours
-
Keep lashes completely dry – avoid water, steam, sweat, and tears.
-
Do not wear makeup or apply any products near the eyes.
-
Avoid touching, rubbing, or pressing on your extensions.
General Care
-
Do not twist, pull, or pick your extensions – this may damage your natural lashes.
-
Never use mascara or eyeliner on lash extensions.
-
Only use oil-free cleansers and makeup removers near the eyes.
-
Cleanse your lashes twice daily using a professional lash cleanser and brush.
-
Always concentrate cleansing at the lash roots where oils, dirt, and dead skin collect.
-
Gently brush your lashes with a clean spoolie every morning and evening.
-
Avoid eyelash curlers, perming, or tinting over extensions.
-
Be mindful with sleeping positions – try to sleep on your back to prevent friction.
-
Stay away from oil-based products, heavy creams, and sunscreen around the eye area.
Lash extensions typically last 2–3 weeks before requiring infills.
How to Wash Your Lash Extensions
Proper cleansing is one of the most important steps in lash extension aftercare.
-
Wait 24 hours before your first cleanse (after extensions or infills).
-
Place a tissue under your eye to catch excess cleanser.
-
Dispense 1 pump of lash cleanser onto your eyelid or cleansing brush.
-
Gently massage through your lashes in circular motions, focusing on the lash line and roots.
-
Rinse thoroughly with clean, lukewarm water.
-
Air dry or gently pat dry with a lint-free towel.
-
Once dry, softly brush your lashes back into place with a clean spoolie.
Daily cleansing prevents build-up, irritation, and premature lash loss.
By following this guidance, your lashes will stay healthy, fluffy, and beautifully enhanced for as long as possible. If you have any questions, RiaBelle Beauty is always here to help.
